Oh my it has been a LONG time!

Seriously?  I guess the only thing I can offer up is that three kids plus yard, house, school, church and day to day activities seem to leave me neglecting my blog.  I suppose the addition of a kindle hasn't helped much either, I love to read and now I can own any book at the touch of a button, not a good thing.  Grifin is now 8 months, I had to stop and figure it out because someone at church asked me how old he was and I wasn't sure.  Of all of my kids, this 8 months has gone the fastest, probably because now I am also the oldest I have ever been with a baby.  Wyatt is now 4 and Bridger is almost 10.  People keep telling me to try to enjoy the time I have with him before he becomes a teenager, to which I reply, he was actually born one!  The "I hate you" and "you are the worst parent ever, I wish you were never born" have been spouting out of his mouth since about the time he could talk.  Hopefully he goes in reverse and becomes a sweet boy as a teenager (a girl can hope can't she?)  We still love him and he definitely has his awesome moments.  He is a good kid trying to figure it all out and for that I am thankful.  Wyatt is getting a bit more testy, but his defiant moods lift quite easily (he has a hard time holding a mad face!).  Grif is darling, angelic, sweet and all of the things a baby can be.  Enjoy this updated photo, but don't hold your breath for regular updates, don't know if that is gonna happen!

Grifin's Blessing

We blessed this sweet baby boy yesterday.  It was a very nice to be surrounded by family and friends.  I was able to take lots of pictures, but haven't had time to edit and post them.  I will do that soon, but wanted to note our feelings of gratitude for our third son.  We are pleased to be raising boys in this crazy world and hope we will be up to the challenge.

A few stones short of a gal bladder...

Yes, yes, I have now joined the millions of people out there that are missing a gal bladder.  I guess you have to love what pregnancy can and does do to your body.  About 4 weeks ago I started having horrible pains that would originate high in my abdomen and end up in my back.  I tried everything that I could to rid myself of the pain and the first few times I was successful.  The pain abated typically after two days.  This last time, it did not. I started having pain on Friday, fast forward to Sunday and the pain was still there.  I went to insta-care, had some tests taken and went home.  When my appointment for the ultrasound fell through on Monday I knew I was in trouble.  We ended up in the emergency room.  From there I went to the surgical floor where I awaited surgery.  I had the surgery Tuesday and came home today.  Again, I am so thankful for family and friends that stepped in and took care of everything for us.  Darin has been a real trooper stepping up for both of us.  I am so blessed, and so happy that I won't have to have another gal stone again!

Halloween Pre-game

So for Halloween this year we went with a Star Wars theme.  Darin is Master Plo Koon, Bridger is Commander Rex, and Wyatt is a black strormtrooper.  You would have to be a mother to all boys to know all of these crazy names!!

Here are the black widow/spider web cupcakes we made for our neighbors this year.

Hope you all have fun plans for Halloween this year.  Let the candy high begin!

Mustard is NOT for brothers!!!!

Yes, you read the post right.  Mustard is NOT for brothers-want to know how I know this?  Let me just tell you, Darin and I have been going to bed at 8:00 so we don't look like zombies after being up and feeding Grifin. So, we tucked Wyatt in bed and he was sound asleep by about 8:10, we then retired which left only Bridger up alone in a quiet house.  He didn't seem to think that this was very good, so he decided to wake up his brother and see if he would sleep in his room with him, only Wyatt wouldn't wake up, so Bridger decided to squirt mustard all over him and wake him up.  Darin and I then heard lots of noise and D went to investigate, needless to say he was not THRILLED at what he found!!  I can smile about this today, and hopefully laugh about it soon, I am blogging about it so that I won't forget about it and can use it as excellent blackmail someday!
